The Holy Spirit continues to lead us

The Athenians had their altar to an ‘unknown god’. But Damaris and Dionysius believe what Paul tells them about Jesus and his God in whom we live and move and have our being. And Jesus, the Word, still had much to say to his disciples, but the Spirit of Truth would come to lead them, and us, into the fullness of truth. Some say that doctrine is all we need in our search for faith and belief, such as the Catechism of the Catholic Church. But the Word of God is a living dynamic Word that cannot be tied up in doctrines or books. The fullness is still to come. The Word of God is the one source of all revelation, and not just found in scripture and tradition. The Holy Spirit continues to lead us to the ‘fullness’ that Jesus could never reveal totally to his disciples.
